ARTWORKS 2011!

Students in grades 4-8 (during the 2011-12 school year) are eligible to register for ARTWORKS beginning April 11th.

ARTWORKS will be held Mon-Thurs, June 13-24 at Sequiota Elementary

The ARTWORKS Program, now in it's 29th year, is a multi-disciplinary approach to the arts. The program allows student to study with professional artists and art teachers in the visual media and performing arts for an intensive 9 days. ARTWORKS has one session with a morning and an afternoon class. Students may attend EITHER the morning OR afternoon sessions.

ALL SCHOOL ART EXHIBITION 2011!

It is with great excitement to announce the dates of the all-school art exhibit at the Springfield Art Museum! Many of our talent Jeffries students' artwork will be on display for this highly anticipated event.

The exhibit will be open to the public beginning March 15 through April 17.

Museum hours are:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday- 9:00-5:00
Thursday- 9:00-8:00
Sunday- 1:00-5:00
Closed on Monday

The Springfield Art Museum is located at 1111 E. Brookside, just west of National. Admission is free.

JEFFRIES' ART CLUB!!!

Interested 4th & 5th graders were invited to join our first-ever Jeffries Art Club!
The first 12 students that registered are going to be learning how to crochet and/or knit!

Mrs. Olson (formerly Ms. Sees) and I are really excited to begin!

supplies needed!

Happy New Year!
We will be beginning some new & exciting art projects in 2011!
For these projects, we need your help...
If you have any empty water bottles and/or 20 oz soda bottles, we could use them for our projects! Please make sure the bottles are clean and are without the caps or lids.
Also, we are in need of newspapers.
Looking forward to a very creative year! :)
