I am so excited to announce our school-wide poster contest depicting our theme,
GAME ON! Be a Champion!

There will be one winner in each grade level. The winning posters will be framed and hung in the hallway for the entire school year!

Grades 2-5 began their poster design in art class. Kindergarten & 1st grade were given the opportunity to create their posters at home with furnished paper.

POSTERS ARE DUE AUGUST 29TH!!!

Be Creative --  Be Unique --  Have Fun!!!

it's SUMMER...express YOURSELF!

Here are a few suggestions:

- find a quiet spot under a tree & sketch what you see!
- take a box of watercolors to the park & paint!
- decorate your driveway with sidewalk chalk!
- dance! Dancing is drawing with your feet!
- mix up some homemade papier mache and create a piñata
- rearrange your bedroom!
- create a sculpture in clay; there are many homemade recipes online!

JEFFRIES 6TH ANNUAL FINE ARTS NIGHT!

You and your family are cordially invited to the Jeffries Elementary 6th Annual Fine Arts Night!

Come join us for an evening of fine art and musical entertainment provided by our Honor Choir and 5th Grade Orchestra!  Our hallways will display artwork from our very talented students, and, a slideshow of student pieces featured at the Springfield Art Museum will always be available for viewing!

We hope to see you on Friday, April 19th, 5:30 to 6:30!

SPS ALL SCHOOL ART EXHIBIT!

All School Art Exhibition March 22 – April 28

More than 1,000 artworks will be on display. The annual Springfield All School Art Exhibition will be held March 22 – April 28 at the Springfield Art Museum, 1111 Brookside Drive. Many of our talented Jeffries students will have artwork on display! Letters to the selected students will be sent home following spring break with exhibit details. Opening receptions for students, parents and friends will be held at the following times: Middle and High School- Friday, March 22, 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Elementary School- Sunday, March 24, 1 p.m.-5 p.m. The public is invited to view this HUGE exhibit! As always, admission to the museum is FREE! See you there!
